Net Prophets consists of two powerful vocal figures and a veteran DJ. Emcee's Legitimate and Phantazmal came of age in the rapidly urbanized sprawl of Barrie Ontario.  Both were inspired at a young  age by the rugged boom-bap sounds and innovative styles of hip hop. Although raised in different worlds these two individuals found within themselves a unifying mind state and approach to the art form. Drawing upon real life struggles and hardships ,street principles and an exceptional collective intellect Net Prophets challenges the norm with hard hitting, street savvy and politically charged hip-hop. Meeting threw mutual friends in early high-school, the two quickly began collaborating ideas and sharing material while working on early tracks at the school studio.  They soon forged a group and Net Prophets was born. Being that they were innovators for hip-hop in there hometown and local area, the duo was forced to teach themselves from the ground up the basics of recording, mastering and beat making in an ever evolving low budget home studio. Those lessons learned in the early years as well as the countless hours spent writing and perfecting the lyrical elements of hip-hop has given the Net Prophets a style and a flavour that is truly all there own. After five years, various demos, and a studio facelift,  the group pressed and released there first official project, the "Net Prophets - Fog of War Mixtape" in February of 2006. The group has rocking shows across southern Ontario from the GTA to London, Barrie and various other northern regions of the 705 area. Driven to make a name for themselves, Net Prophets is continuously striving to be on the cutting edge of today's Canadian underground landscape. Bringing powerful hip-hop that carries a message in a time when the art form has become watered down and in danger of losing its roots.
