Lady Castrator - Organic Mechanics Crew   Mary (Jane) Fogarty is a street performance artist/dancer who reps with the Organic Mechanic Crew.  She is on the ARTaud School University Faculty alongside such artists as Lady Noyz (Drunken Monkz), Thesis Sahib, Lease and Elicser, Prof. Michael Zryd (York U), Rebos, B-girl Lynne, B-boy Troy and Kujo (www.detoursvideo.com), as well as such community activists as Kyler Ayim and Kamilla Pietrzyk.  Mary-Jane is into creating inter-media art projects involving dance, video, performance art and thought and has been the recipient of an award or two including: the Canada Graduate Scholarship, the Mark S. Bonham Scholarship (Inside Out Film Festival), Warner Brothers Home Video Award, University of Western Ontario Alumni Award and "Best Film" at the UWO Film Festival.  She is currently writing a book on the history of "new school" b-boy/b-girl videos and will be attending Brock University in September 2005 to complete an M.A. in Popular Culture.  Her most recent academic lectures include one in March 2005 at York University on "the History of the B-Droid" and one more recently at the Film Studies Association of Canada (www.filmstudies.ca) annual conference where she delivered a paper entitled, "I Used To Do It In The Park: B-Boys Traversing the Digital Travel Dial."  She has performed at (Honey Jam), judged, competed in, and organized b-boy/b-girl events (OPERATION B-DROID, etc.) since the late 90s.   The ARTaud School U Faculty is planning a performance show and tour for the Fall and more information will be available soon at www.artaudschoolu.com.  Please contact us for more information or enquiries about applications for the School Community.
